On sunday the 26 Jan 2020 , one of our rooftop solar power plants located in Bangalore (Lat 12.87, Long 77.73) achieved a yield of over 6 units per KW (6.03 KWh/KW) . Installed capacity is 4.125 KWp (375Wp x 11 modules) and the energy output is 24.89 units . So the yield is (24.89/4.125 = 6.03 units per KW per day) This is a very good yield for the location and well above the average . Average yield in the month of january for Bangalore is about 5 units per KW. Apart from insolation (on which we don't have any control) , many other variables play a vital role in increasing the yield and efficiency of the rooftop solar power plant . In this particular site we have used mono-crystalline twin peak PERC solar modules (Which reduces the effects of shadows) and Enphase micro inverters (This makes modules independent of each other and increases efficiency) . Together with these world class products , a good design, proper orientation, proper wiring and wire gauge selections makes a sound and well performing rooftop solar power system.
